1991 Toyota Camry Window Electrical Problem?

Im gonna try to explain this as best as I can

My control (drivers side that controls all 4 windows) doesn't work. My door lock works, but my window button doesn't work and neither does it for all other 4 windows.

All the other 3 windows (passenger, back passengers) work independently on their own switch. It's not a fuse and I don't think it's the wiring. It just randomly stopped working one day when I was driving home to roll my window up. Any suggestions?

-I know I should probably replace the main switch for all 4 windows
All the motors work fine - tested with battery charger, they all operate fine.

All I can think of is that the wiring harness that connects the switches to the electrical source, has come disconnected. If the switch for just your window didn't work, I would suspect that it may be the motor that raises and lowers the window could be bad and need replacing. But with that not being the case and the switch on the driver side door doesn't work for any of the windows, then I suspect it is a wiring problem (if not the fuse). Either the wires are old and wore, or the wiring harness has become disconnected.

Good luck. Hope I helped.

I had the same type of problem on my toyota and, from what I've seen, its a common problem. The piece that usually gets broken is the sauder that connects the wire to the controller. You can easily sauder it back together, or buy a new control on ebay, which you've probably already looked at, which is the easiest option and not all too expensive.

As per Mitch,I Think The Word (Sauder) He means Solder.By the way,Your Problem Could be the Relay, which relays the current to all the windows.or one of the window motor is resisting due to old age of the window's motor jamming up.
