So, I have a '91 Mazda 626. It has an automatic tranny, and I have yet to have ANY tranny problems with it.
The other day, I took it into town, did a bit of shopping, and then came home. Everything was working perfectly. Yesterday, I was planning to go to the post office, so I went out and started my car. It started up perfectly, so I pressed in the brake and went to shift out of park and into drive. The shift wouldn't move. And I can't figure out what's wrong(not much of a car person). The button on the shift, won't go in all the way, and so I can't change gears.
Any help/ideas to try would be much appreciated.
Greg: I tried the just barely turning the key in to by-pass the signal to no avail. It didn't change anything. XDD
