I have a 91 jeep wrangler and was driving home today and shifted from fifth to fourth and something jammed up and will not go in other gears and is stuck in 4th the jeep does drive. Anyone know what the problem may be? The transmission is stock. I don't know anything about these transmissions or even what kind comes in wranglers? So I don't want to get ripping until I have an idea of what could be wrong? I took the shifter off and looked down in the hole but you cant see anything besides a rod and the a square thing with a hole where I assume the shifter goes threw to shift? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In Advance To Anyone That Helps Me Out.
