Hello i have a 91 Jeep renegade and at low speeds or stop i have a difficult time shifting from neutral to first or reverse. the first gear seems blocked unless the jeep is turned off and on, and the reverse gear grinds like mad (yes clutch is engaged). the clutch is a centerforce III. seems like local mechanics dont want to deal with jeep transmissions because all say its a 2500-3500 replacement for a used one. any advice would be appreciated. jeep has to be moving to shift successfully.
