What is going on!! Im having troubles with this truck i just bought it and replace the battery and battery cables. When i go to start it, it starts fine. When i park it and go inside for a few mins and come back out it will not start back up. It has a slow crank and sound as if im not getting enough power to the starter or the battery weak. Bt if i get a jump it will start right up. If i park it and wait a few hours it will star right up. What can it be that causing this problem???

Worn out alternator inadequately charging the battery..

When you put a big strain on a battery (like for example, starting the engine), the voltage drops, then gradually recovers. The time and extent to which it can bounce back depends on the quality of the battery.

But the alternator is supposed to recharge the battery, and yours apparently isn't doing the job.

Slight possibility you got a bad battery off the shelf (it happens) -- have your battery "load tested", then have the charging system tested.

you may have bought a bad battery or the alternator isn't charging as it should. i'd have it tested at an autoparts store.

I would say you have a weak cell in the battery , Take it to a good auto parts store and have it load tested , most won't charge you for it in the hopes you will buy a battery from them if needed.
