case? OK.....got a good question for the Import/Tuner crowd out there.......here goes......I'm considering buying a 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T twin turbo. The guy that has it for sale is offering it a ridiculously low price because it has a thrashed transfer case and also needs the front drive shaft (i've already looked at the car and verified that this is the problem) ....I have searched and searched and searched online and locally for a used transfer case, but I can't find one that is decent shape (i.e. not needing rebuild) for under a grand......HOWEVER, i have locally sourced a 92 mitsubishi galant VR4 Turbo AWD parts car with a blown engine......Now, I know that the dodge stealth R/T TT and mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 were essentially the same car, same engine, drivetrain, etc...but are the drive trains in the stealth R/T TT and galant VR4 AWD the same? similar?.........would it be possible to use the transfer case from the galant without modification? or would I have to do some modification/ fabrication? will it even work ??

im not claiming to be an expert on the matter, but do some searching on the VIN numbers and see which characters relate to the drivetrain then see if they match up. im going to guess and say yes they will line up and work, but dont hold me to it. good luck
