...makes friend that has old key? 1980's or 1990's youth/pre-teen-geared book about depressed, overweight girl, paints her room the darkest blue she can find to make it feel like the ocean, makes friend with new girl at school who's family travels from town to town. New girl has old key that they use to open up abandoned house...forget what happens afterward but overweight girl runs all the way home, weighs herself and see's that she lost a few pounds.
Read this book back in the 90's, got it at school bookstore so it couldn't have been that obscure.
