I have an automatic transmission in this truck and my problem is when i let off the gas and give in gas again i here a low clunk sound. I dont have any other sound but the low clunk like there is slack in the drive train somewhere. I checked the u-joints and they all looked a-ok, could it be the gears in the rear end wearing down causing slack due to high mileage?
its been doing this for five years and i had some backyard mechanics tell me to drive it till it bites the dust..lol, but im still concerned
