1990 toyota camry V6 cutting out(sputtering, missing) randomly?

ok I have had this problem for a few months now and is starting to get really annoying and hurts my gas millage and performance. I can drive my car for a couple of hours with it running just fine. then it starts to sputter off and on randomly. when I give it gas while it is doing this I can feel it speed up and slow down like its loosing performance. I thought it might be the spark plugs and wires. so I replace them. still the same problem. then I replaced the distributor cap. same problem. then the air filter. nothing. then the fuel filter. zip. I even checked all the wires to see if it was a loose wire. nothing. it still does it till this day and it seems to do it quite frequently now. when im lucky for about 30 seconds it doesn't cut out, it is crazy fast like 0-60 in 5 seconds. when it is cutting out its like 0-60 in about 30 seconds or less. I can barely climb a hill when it is. It is completely random and is weird because no one seems to know what the problem is. I can't even find any answers on the internet of other people having thing problem in any other car!!! sometimes it will miss for 2 seconds. sometimes it will miss for 2 hours. sometimes it will miss all day. sometimes when I first start the car. I am about to take it to a mechanic but I really don't want to because I don't want to have to spend $200 an hour for them to look at it and maybe fix it. It is starting to tick me off badly. I want to have fun in my car because it used to outrun every car I ever raced with it. now Im afraid to race it because it might start cutting out randomly and be really slow and I will probably lose. someone please help!!!!
