...3rd to go up a hill? It has a new fuel filter. I took off the exhaust and tail pipe b/c it was rusted out. I think I knocked a hole in the cat converter. and Im not sure why it still does it. I have been driving it all summer everyday. It just gets shaky and jerky when giving it gas. it only takes about half throttle in 4th and 5th gear. Im not sure what it is but the replacement cat back isnt too expensive just trying to figure out if thats what I need to do or what?
 
Sounds like you need a New Fuel Filter, or maybe the Fuel Pressure is not up to par, have it checked before you damage your engine.
