So after one night where the car was over-revved in the red line for a while and driven with the parking break on for a while, the car hasn't sounded the same. That was about 4-5 months ago. The engine just sounds a little meaner and not as smooth. (It wasn't my fault though, a 'friend' who was looking after me tricked me into thinking she wasn't drunk, but that's nothing I want to address any further).
Since then I've had a few things fixed (but probably not related to the incident):
- The clutch baring or something like that was replaced
- The clutch fluid and transmission fluid or something like that was changed
- Something to do with the clutch was replaced (the clutch pedal wasn't pressing down properly and such)
Anyways, what could I possibly do to fix this problem where the engine sounds a little meaner and not as smooth? I haven't talked to my mechanic since he's friends with my dad (who gave me the car). The situation wasn't my fault and I was too nice to force my 'friend' to pay for any damages, but all the same it's nothing I want him to know about.
