1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 302 5.0L Tuning?

I have a 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 302 5.0L.

This car sat for 3 years before i started driving it, and I was wondering if there are any things on the car that i should check.

Also is there anything I could do or buy (cheap) that would give it just a bit more power?

It feels like it has power, but it just feels like its not getting good compression.

Any Suggestions?

all of the gaskets will have dried out by now
they need to stay wet with oil
you need to rebuild the engine, well, you need to get a complete gasket kit for it
 
you should check your drive train if anything has seized up or is not working to full potential. you can buy a turbo or cold air intake system
