Does anyone know where the "after run" fan and the switch or device that turns this fan on are located on a 1990 F-150 with a L6, 4.9 engine? Also what purpose does this fan serve?
There should be a thermostat that runs until the engine is sufficently cooled off after the engine is turned off.
The engine is made up of many different metals and materials. they expand and contractat different rates. If the difference of contraction is to great something will break.
