I have a 1990 Chevy Cavalier (2.2 4 cyl) with 114,988 miles on it, and recently, I've noticed that the car seems to want to stall out, or at least the engine bogs down severely. It's usually only when the car has first been started up, in the mornings, or after it hasn't been run of quite a bit of time.
I'll try to describe the problem in greater depth. If feels like that when I press the accelerator, the car's engine bogs down, and then it feels like it finally kicks up and the car will take off normally (or, if I'm gassing it, quickly.) The engine doesn't rev until the car actually starts to move forward.
I've changed the spark plugs and wires. It seems to have helped the car, but not made the problem disappear completely.
I'm wondering what some possible trouble spots may be, where should I be looking?
