1990 buick estate wagon?

I just bought the car today for 150.00 and the car is in great condition body wise and mechanically sound but the person i bought it from said the battery goes dead, so i ran the heck out it today with the lights and all on and the battery has held a charge really well but if it does go dead i know i need a battery and alternator but what may be other problems associated with battery dieng like this?
 
Possible you could have a small drain on the battery such as a small short , possible headlight switch, stuck relay or such, but take the car to an auto parts store and have them check it for putting out 14.7 volts on the battery terminals when running. if its putting out 13 + your ok and its just a battery problem.
