1989 toyota pu truck I replaced my 22r motor with a 22re and it turns over,

but doesnt run...? I also replaced the the original carburetor to the new motor.I checked the firing sequence 1-3-4-2 sprayed starter fluid, moved the distributor. still doesnt run. I will check the timing and combustion this weekend...
