I have a very old Toyota Camry 1989 under 110000 mils. When I brake hard, the car tends to drift into a side. I sometimes have to slightly steer the car into the opposite direction when applying brakes hard. If the road is wet, applying brakes hard would always result in a spin unless I apply the brakes gradually. I replaced the brake pads but it did not solve the problem. Could it be an imbalance brake distribution? How do I solve this? I narrowly escape twice without hitting car twice while the road was wet.

you may have a caliper trying to stick on it or like you said getting un -even pressure, try bleeding the brakes on it and see if that helps it,that will help even out the pressure, air in the line will cause that too happen also, and if all else fails those have a proportioning valve on them that can get out of balance, that may be the problem in this case, bleeding the brakes may help the pressure even back out on it,good luck.
