I have a 1989 Ford Taurus GL with a 3.0L Vulcan and a 4 speed auto with an OD. The belts that are on the car are at least a year old, mostlikely more. When I start the car in the morning and only let it run for about 30 seconds, then leave, it sounds like something rattling, specificall the pulleys. Is it possible that the pulleys are loose? I plan on getting new belts for it. It doesnt have a serpitine belt. Could it be that the belts are worn and need replacing? Or are the pulleys loose?
I had the belts tightened in October.
And the power steering pump is said to be on its way out, and I didnt know if that had anything to do with it.
