I have a 1989 dodge dakota with 3.9l v6. I thought my fuel pump had gone out but after looking at the throttle body i saw that gas was getting to it, i took the hose off of it and it squirted out with pressure behind it so i am guessing something is not opening and letting it into the throttle body, is it something electronic or something clogging it up. I can prime the truck and it will run till the gas burns out but no gas can get into the throttle body. thanks

Are you getting a signal/pulse at the injector? If yes then a bad injector is in your future. If not then check the cam/crank sensor and/or computer, etc. You need to know what you are doing when checking the injector pulse or you could end up replacing a *&^%$ load of stuff.

is the fuel pump original? it may be close to failure and not feeding it enough to keep it running? the way to test this is find out how much pressure is required then have it tested for the right pressure next it may be the throttle pos sensor. of even the injector head inside the throttle body cheap way to possibly CLEAN the heads is spray crab Cleaner on a tooth brush and scrub the head's while still attached to engine.
