I have this 88 Lincoln Town car I got from my mother before she died in 99. Three year ago they put a refurbished A/C compressor on it that only last 2 years. Now the same people are putting anew one on and this will be a lifetime warranty. They did not have that 2 years ago. What I am wondering is do I need to get a a Ford part? This will not be a Ford part and what if the motor is too strong to keep this one up too or does it matter? Midas Muffler does not seem to put the brand name parts on this car.
