When I crank my jeep after not using for a couble of hours it idles at 2000 rpm and then after about 3 mins I can push the gas pedal quickly almost all the way to the floor it goes back down to 750 rpm and stays. The only time it idles high is for about 3 mins after I start the engine. It's a 6 cylinder 4.0L automatic.
1988 Jeep Wrangler. Is this normal?
