I have an 88 chevy k1500 4wd with a 350 cid engine. The transmission shifts real quick through the gears and i find myself riding at 40 mph in overdrive (4th gear). The transmission seems to shift very quick through the gears and when I'm pulling a load (a trailer or another vehicle) it doesnt seem to want to "kick down" into the lower gear leaving me pulling hills with a very low tach. How can I fix this? Can I put a regular 4bbl carburetor on it instead of the throttle body carb? I want more horsepower out of that 350 motor I hear everyone brag about and to me it seems kinda gutless.
