1987 Toyota Tacoma starting problems?

Corroded battery cables...have you removed and cleaned both ends of both cables? If that is it, your battery may not be charging right too...
 
Put a new starter in it because sometimes it will start and other times it just makes clicking noises. It has the 22R motor.

What else besides the starter could it be?
The starter obviously wasnt the problem.
 
bad ground, remove ground wires and clean the attatchment point with sand paper or a file,battery neg terminal- battery to body- battery to block-block to frame, its a 1987 im sure the grounds have corroded, that is the starting point CLEAN ALL GROUNDS!!
