1987 toyota pickup won't start?

i have a 1987 toyota pickup that won't start. I tested the starter and it works fine. I can here the sylenoid click, but then it loses all power. I can turn the key off, and the battery shows a charge, then when i turn it all the way over again, i can here the click and then it goes dead again. please help....
 
Try with another battery, with jump cables.
If not, make a bridge in solenoid, fron "batt" to "starter" connections with pliers´s handle
if not,, remove plugs and try to turn engine by hand, could be stuck
If turns, remove starter and have it repaired
It is in not correct, in my humble opinion, to say "won´t start" under this condition, you should say "it would´t TURN when start is on"
