1987 ford Tauras change all gaskets and had complete tu ne up then change water

pump replaced distributor maud? maudule then it ran like crap and had no power and was back firing like crazy now it turns over but wont start and now is sitting in front yard it only has 43.000 miles on it, could some wires been wet so that it couldnt be read?
