1986 yamaha yf 60 throttle questions?

Probable intake manifold air leak.
While the engine is reving, spray WD-40 all around the intake manifold
where it attaches to the engine.
The WD-40 will temporarily plug the leak.
If the RPMs change, you found a leak
 
I just got this quad for free, I put a new carb on it and still same problems,when I switch from start to run the trhottle goes wide open and the thumb throttle doesn't do anything?
Is it also maybe possible the reeds are bad? I will get some wd-40 tomorrow and try it thanks.
