1986 Monte Carlo for sale?

Found a nice monte for sale. Im 19, looking for a fun summer car to mess around and work on a little.

1986 Monte Carlo w/ t-tops.
Body has 51,000 orginal miles
fresh 350 small block 4 bolt with only 32,000 miles
350 turbo tranny
fresh blue paint job
no rust - solid

car has been sitting for 10 years, barn kept
guy says it runs rough - needs a good tune up
only needs passenger seat and carpet

Guy is asking 2,000 for it. What do you think?
The 350 is from a chevy truck. Never been raced
 
First thing you need to know is the cost for Ins. 19 and being a "sports" car with hopped up 350 it could cost you a fortune. You could pay more for a years Ins than the car cost and I think you could pay twice the car cost in Ins.
Sitting up means rust in exhaust, so check that. What kind of miles is the 32000? how many passes on the drag strip?
Never buy anything running rough. It could be some hidden problems and not just stale gas and fouled plugs.
I wish you the best, just make sure you can afford to drive it. Is it geared for the strip and will this kill you in fuel driving it to and from school or work?
