1986 Jeep Cherokee rear end swap.?

I am wondering if there are any other rear ends, other than the Ford 8.8 rear end, that will swap into my Cherokee? I have considered the GM 14 bolt, but fear the cost of having it narrowed to fit. I am not a Ford man, and would prefer to stay away from them. Would the Chrysler 8.25, be worth fooling with?
