I have a 1986 Ford Tempo, it has been running fine since I got it back in november. Since then I have only had two problems, one time it wouldn't start, there wasn't even any power to it. We tried jumping it and that didn't help, then we replaced the... I forget what it was called, but that didn't do it either, evenually it turned out that it wasn't fully in park so it wouldn't start. we just moved the gear shift around put it back in park and it worked.
Then I ran out of brake fluid, but filled it up and it works fine.
But now I am having the same exact problem as before, it wont start! There isn't even any power to it. I have tried putting it in neutral, reverse, drive, then back in park, and wiggling the gear shift every which way, but it will not get power to the car!
Does anyone have any other advice on what to do? Or why I am getting NO power?? Or if it is still the gearshift thing like before what else I can do to make it be in park?
