Ok so there is ENGINE OIL in my RADIATOR. At first my dad said it was just rust and not to worry, but a mecahnic said its engine oil and i need to get a flush. Its been like this for at least 5 months now because we just thought it was rust. Anyways, what is the problem? Again its been like this for a long while. There has to be something minor or is it major?
that,s not engine oil, that,s transmission oil. the cooler tank on the side of the radiator has a hole in it and the transmission fluid is mixing with the anti-freeze. there is no way motor oil can get into it.
sounds like some type of oil cooler inside the radiator could be leaking. Normally is the transmission cooler inside the radiator. Another possibility is the car been overheated at one point in time and is got leaky head gasket
