Just bought this motorcycle and the previous owner said its been standing for 14 years. I pulled off the air cleaner and found a bunch of animal droppings and acorns. I'm assuming it was a chipmunk but anyway. I cranked a few times without the filter and the bike backfired out a bunch carpet looking material but would not start. I put starting fluid in the air filter and it fired right up but stalled once the starting fluid burnt up. There was also some heavy smoke coming from the muffler. It looked and smelled like something was burning up in there. Now the bike won't start at all and I don't know what else to do. Anyone have a somewhat similar experience? Thanks for reading.
