Just bought a Honda Magna VF700 and after it sits overnight it does not want to start. The guy I bought it from showed me a tube (or something like a tube) near the front forks behind the headlight. He said to put about 2 tablespoons of gas into this and once the bike starts to run it around 5000rpms for about a minute. Is this safe to do to the bike or should I just use some money to take it to the local shop and have it looked at? I'm new to this style motorcycle and of this age.
Also, since the weather here is starting to get cold, should I take the battery out since store it inside the house since the bike will be kept outside under a cover?
