1985 dodge caravan my wife loves this van an i really need your help to fix it?

ok here's the deal my wife ran it out of gas now it goes uh uh uh like its running out of gas thts at level speed but u mash on the gas its fine til u level back out and just to let it idle not going to happen it dies plz help would make my wife very happy to get back in van thx
