I have a 1985 buick regal with 3.8 L v6, was thinking of changing the motor to a chevy 350 was looking for alittle more help what else would have to be changed other than the tranny?
I believe this is a front wheel drive as most Buicks were since at least 1983 except the Roadmaster model.
This being the case there's no way you can adapt an 8-cylinder engine in a transverse mounted V-6 chassis.
Unless of course money is no object and you have access to a pro shop that can build a car from the ground up for tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars.
You should probably upgrade the rear end. The 3.8 V6 ones were not strong enough to handle the v8. Found out the hard way when we did the same swap in an 81 Firebird.
