well its not really a race car, but i have a 1984 trans am with a 350 crate motor in it. i havent been able to get the timing right, for some reason it likes to run really in advance, like 30 degrees advance it runs like a beast burns the tires when you sneeze on the throttle but it tends to backfire, i re set it to about 6 degrees advance and it purrs like a cat, runs fine and drives like a normal car, doesnt backfire, but has no balls at all, will not spin the tires no matter how hard i try, any suggestions? is the car shit should i sell it? too much carb maybe? any help is appreciated
