I have a Yamaha Maxim XJ650 that was my fathers old bike, and it hasn't been run in about 3 years. I have a checklist of things to do not necessarily in order, but if you could just add in any advice or checks I should do that I don't have.
-Drain all old fuel
-Check if carb is gummed up ( if so remove clean and sync them )
-Change oil / filter (4qts of 10w40) and change oil every 250 miles twice to make sure its clean
-Change fork oil
-Check tires for dry rot
-Check for cracked wiring insulation to keep problems from occurring later on
-Check and lube choke and speedometer cales
-Lube chain every other day for 2 weeks, then biweekly for 3 months
If you could think of anything else it would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks
