One of my cylinders isn't firing (or not firing often) and the muffler spits every 10 seconds or so at idle. New spark plugs and all plugs have spark. Carburetors look clean enough so I put them back together and back on the bike. Took the air box/filter off and is obvious it has been sprayed with fuel for a while. With the air box and air filter off I started it up and held my hand over each of the carburetor intakes (4 of them) to feel for vacuum and my hand was sprayed with a light mist of fuel behind the carburetor that feeds the non-firing cylinder. What would cause air pressure in the wrong direction through the carburetor?
Sorry. It's the carb closest to the fuel petcock, left-most cylinder as you are sitting on the bike. Thank you both. Will try your suggestions.
