1982 suzuki gs 450 L , ignitor help?

i have a chopper that i built using engine and electrc. from a 82 gs 450 L . i think my ingition module is bad. i have another one from a 83 gs 650. i am wanting to know if there is any way to make this work. i know my 450 was a two cycl, and my 650 had four. but i am hoping to be able to use this part. i cant find a replacement anywhere. please help.thanks.
