My 1982 Dodge Pickup with a 318 engine has a compression reading
of 120 PSI in each cylinder. Is this sufficient for the engine to run properly? Or could this be why it is loading up on me?

that carb they put on that engine, usually a cheap holley
is not a very good one. I would guess find a good carburator
man and fix it. my 84 I changed to a 4 barrel rochester
and had better luck.
you have good enough compression.
