I recently purchased a 1981 Yamaha Virago 750 and it runs great. It sounds good, everything is good...for about the first 20 minutes or so. After about 20 minutes or so, once the engine is fully warmed up, it starts making this " ticking" noise. It doesn't effect the way it handles, or runs, or anything but it is deffinetly there and annoying. If I let the bike rest for 3-5 minutes, just to kinda cool off, it goes away again for another 15 minutes or so. It's really annoying and frustrating and I feel like I need to keep stopping to let her rest because I don't want to do any dammage. It's not a super loud noise, but you can hear it over the sound of the engine, and it is deff. noticeable. She's got oil, so no problems there and no lights come on when the noise starts to happen. Please help me if you can before I decide to bring her into a mechanic. Thanks!
