Ok, I own a 1980 Yamaha 650. It starts when to simple connect the red from battery to black from starer. I replaced the starter solenoid too. However, when I press the start button, it doesn't crank at all.
I am thinking it may be a bad relay or a fuse issue. All lights, horns, etc work. And the battery is maybe 1-2yrs old, but holds a 12+v charge. I checked as many cables as I could and found no broken cables.
Can anyone tell me WHERE the fuse box on a 1980 Yamaha 650 is? All I could find are 3 inline fuses the guy i bought it form installed on some cables. Does anyone have further insight as to what may be the issue?
