Ok, I'm new here... I have the bike listed in the title, and it runs, but has just about no power.... on a flat stretch, it'll go 35mph and thats it... it has new plugs in it, and i just put the carbs (Dual Mikuni CV's) and they seem to be working fine... so I talked to a buddy of mine, and he told me to check the timing. So here I am, anyone have any info about how to do this, and what the timing should be?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanx

haha, ok, so I actually looked into this a little bit, and the timing is fine, I took the cap/cover off, and the timing plate was right there... so now I have another problem... I'm only getting spark out of one cylinder. I have no idea why... I know that when I put the new plugs in about 2 weeks ago, but cylinders had spark. HAD spark anyway... I have no idea whats wrong with it or what to look for... but anyway, just thought I'd clear up a couple things I guess...

double check ALL of your connections. Where does the spark "stop". Does any spark come out of the coil? If so, is spark making it from the coil to the plug via the plug wire? If so, then you have a bad plug. If your coil isnt producing spark at all then check to see that it has power AND ground. If it DOES have power and ground then your coil is likely bad. If it does NOT have power and ground you need to find out why.
