I have a 1978 chevy k10 with a 350. When I got it back after my dad had kept it for about 8 years and loaned it out to some of his friends it was in bad shape. At first it would barely move, was overheating, and was burning oil.
It is much better now but still lacks the power a 350 should have. Here is what I have done so far:
Replaced the quadrajet carb with an edelbrock
Replaced fuel filter
replaced plugs and wires
replaced valve cover gaskets
replaced water pump
replaced stock air cleaner with edelbrock
replaced both mufflers with magnaflow exhaust
It runs fine but when im pulling a trailer it doesn't cut it. Also I am noticing a little fuel coming from the tailpipes. Any suggestions on what to try next. I am on a budget, but really want my truck back.
