It's an Xplorer van.I was going up a steep hill and "felt" something only for a moment.Like a lag in tranny or something.Then going down a steep hill,it backfired like a shotgun.Driving,it would start to die and only would accelerate when I floored it.When it killed at a couple stop signs,it would only start when floored.I tried carb cleaner in the tank and poured into carb.It seemed like it ran fine for six miles,but when I turned around and came down the steep hill I went up,it backfired again and acted the same all over.Any ideas?
