While cruising at about 90 on the expressway I noticed a loss of power and the engine began to sputter as I attempted to give more throttle and the engine finally died out. After pulling over and letting the engine cool I was able 2 start it once more and drive about a mile before it sputtered again and died. My dad said its the points. Can you tell by simply looking at the points and does this sound typical of points failure? Ive ran the bike much faster in the past without incident so I know it wasn't because I was running it too hard. If its the points Im thinking of going electronic. HELP PLEASE!!
