its a 1973 dodge ram with a 318 and it has a hard time starting but once we do (after spraying a bunch of carb cleaner) it will only run for about 10 seconds. we switched carbs and tested the one on the dodge and it is fine. but once the gas gets into the bowl and the engine starts, it stalls once all the fuel in the bowl empties and it doesn't fill back up. fuel pump is brand new, and fuel pressure is good. put the old carb on another truck and it ran fine so it is NOT the carb. filters were good. gas will not flow at an idle and after about 10 seconds of running. the floats fill up but the gas doesn't keep filling up. if you pump the gas then it will go but if you try to hold the gas then fuel stops coming out.
