1972 chevelle 454 it has a gm hei distributor the car is making?

check the vacuum advanced hose to the distributor, it may be sucking air. does it have no power when ya try to accelerate? sounds definately like a vacuum leak even if it isnt that, check all hoses into the carb.
 
a wierd hissing noise it sounds like low pitched air hissing it sounds like its coming from the back end of the engine or next to the passenger side vavle covers

sounds like a vacuum leak.....check and see...check for broken or cracked tubing....or use starting fluid....only b careful and have fire extinguisher handy:).....

^^ u spray starting fluid onto small areas of tubing with motor running...wen the motor revs...that's were ur leak is.....
