Hello aging!
Thank you all for your help with my other question, the batt was draining because of a exposed wire.
I have another issue now
I installed my new alternator and whenever I connect the black wire that runs from the Batt port on the back of the alt to the starter (which is how it was originaly connected) the wore smoke and melts away within seconds can I connect that wire directly to the extra black wire coming off off the + side of my batt? Because I don't have that portion of the alt wiring connected my battery wont charge while I drive it and dies within a week. Can anyone please help, thank you all very much, I really can't express how helpful this is, I thought I was going to have to pay tons of money on my last problem but with your help I fixed it, so thank you again.
