1969-1972 Chevy Chevelle Price?

I am 15 years old and I am saving up for a car. I would like a Chevelle that's within the years of ' 69 to' 72. I was wondering approx. how much I would have to save up for one that actually runs and decent interior. I don't mind doing mechanical stuff, that's not the problem. I just don't want to put 700 hours of work into a car. I have to go to school too you know.

My main question is how much will I have to save up for a Chevelle in decent condition?
 
i would say probally around 6,500-15,500 also depends on engine...
like a 383 chevy stroker would be 2k its self..... and a tranny!
so it all depends on, well alot!
 
Your best bet would be to look into less desirable models. Take a look at Malibus, and don't be afraid of a four door or even a station wagon. Keep in mind that an old wagon is a hell of a lot cooler than your buddies new Honda. A good place to get an idea for prices would be eBay motors, although I wouldn't recomend buying anything there, unless you can personally inspect it before you pull the trigger. Good luck and be prepared to be hooked on classics for life.
