hi im going to get a mustang 66 but the v6 was dropd and v8 was tossed in they said the rear axle was still the same from the v6 and it only goes 60 65 should i get this car help me out car junkies
why would the car only go 60? even with the v6 it would go faster than 60 unless the motor is completely shot i dont understand what your question is you didnt say what condition asking price or anything we do know that it was originally a v6 so that decreases its desirability and obviously its not original so that subtracts from its value the rear axle wont hold up well to a v8 so i guess it all depends what your giving for it and what you want out of the car
Somebody is lying. 1966 did not come with a V6. It did come with a straight 6 or a V8. If it only goes 60 to 65 it's not the rear end causing the problem. How is the body, and how much do they want for it? If it were anything but a '66 'stang I would walk away from that deal.
